Prepaid iPhone 5 Coming to Straight Talk Wireless via WalMart

Apple, Straight Talk Wireless and Walmart have cut out a deal to bring the iPhone 5 to customers prepaid via Walmart stores in the US. Customers can pick up the iPhone 5 with a $45 unlimited talk, text and data plan with no contract. Straight Talk is owned by TracFone, and customers who wants to carry the iPhone 5 via Straight Talk Wireless have use AT&T’s network. We have no idea at this point if users will have access to AT&T’s LTE network.

Virgin Mobile is another prepaid carrier of the iPhone 5. Customers will have to purchase the iPhone 5 for the full price of the handset. However, Walmart is offering Walmart credit card carriers a no-interest fixed payment plan for $25/month for the iPhone 5. Customers still have to pay $70 a month for unlimited talk, text and data plan. Note that taxes and fees are not included on the price.
