This new rule however has been widely misunderstood and details have been incorrectly reported in the media. If you have purchased your iPhone before January 26th, 2013, you are entitled to unlock your phone even after this date. If you purchased your iPhone after January 26th, 2013, then you are actually still entitled to unlock your device but you have to get the carrier’s permission.

Google Nexus 4 vs Apple iPhone 5 – Design, Featues, Specs, Accessories
No brainers on the iPhone 5’s build quality. It is solid and yet light weight too. Best, it is slim and the phone features Apple’s signature lightning dock. There are aluminum inserts at the back panel, and this makes the phone both light as a feather and solid as a rock. In the Nexus 4 you will find a supreme smartphone done up exceptionally well. The screen is shrouded by a silver bezel, and flipping the phone over reveals a matrix of tiny dots each reflecting light at a different angle. You will either love the Google Nexus 4 or hate it. We were skeptical at first that all that gloss will render the Nexus 4 a slippery one at best, but we found out that there are dedicated rubber inserts that are present at the front & back of the phone, and of course, there is no hard case present.
