Apple has changed the estimated shipping date for iPhone 5 pre-orders, only a few hours after the phone started selling at its online store. Previously, Apple’s online store promised a ship date of September 21, 2012 for retail pre- orders of its new  iPhone 5. But, its pre–order page says that this ship date has been changed to September 28, 2012.  This applies to  all three Apple phone models for all pre-orders placed by September 14, 2012.  The three models available for shipment are the 16GB, 32GB and the 64GB.

Until recently, Apple  made the announcement that it would ship phones on September 21, 2012 for all web  and in store pre-orders that were made beginning as of September 14, 2012.  Two news reports later, the phone is predicted to ship on September 28, 2012 to Australia, the United  Kingdom, France, Australia, the US and Germany.

According to TechCrunch, Apple’s original shipping date was adjusted only one hour after its online launch of the new iPhone 5.  With its predecessor, the iPhone 4S, it took 22 hours for all pre-orders to sell out.  For the iPhone 4, it took 20 hours for the original pre-orders to sell.

Carriers such as Sprint, AT&T and Verizon are also taking pre-orders for the iPhone 5.  The anticipated ship date from all three carriers is September 21, 2012.

So, iPhone 5 is fast vanishing from the racks. I knew it
would happen. Any product from the stable of Apple is a craze. Steve has set
the expectations so high that people cannot wait to own a new Apple product.

With every new release, Apple sets new sales record. It
seems that iPhone 5 will break all the previous records. Apple has added new
chapters to the marketing principles. I wonder whether any other company enjoys
so much attention and anticipation from its customers.
