Apple has done it again. Exactly a week after Apple releases iOS 6.1.1 to fix performance and wifi issues, another update has been released (iOS 6.1.2) to fix some of the same issues and other issues. The new iOS 6.1.2 update purpose is to fix some highly reported bugs iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 users have experience. Smaller updates like these have a history of fixing little issues with the iPhone the update didn’t intend on fixing but also has a history of creating issues that did not exist prior to the updates.

Apple this morning (February 11, 2013) releases an over-the-air update to iOS 6 dubbed iOS 6.1.1. The update (we’re confirmed) fixes performance and reliability as well as Wifi connection issues with iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and other Apple devices. The is the second such update Apple releases in a 2 month period. iOS 6.0.1 was released exactly 1 month ago to this date. The update also works for iPhone 4.

Yesterday, Apple released an update for iOS 6 namely iOS version 6.0.2. The new update fixes the most reported wifi issues. This issue was reported on the Apple’s forum more than any other issues with iOS 6 and the iPhone 5. It mainly has to do with connecting to wifi network or staying connected.The issue I had personally is when I live my house and come back or my iPhone 5 switches to data network the device refuses to connect back to wifi. I updated my iPhone 5 firmware to iOS 6.0.2 and the problem no longer occurs!
